I've met many times situation when alerts of serverity Notice or Informational should appear on dashboards as long as somebody clear it's instance. But considering requirements for documenting all actions it would be good to store information who and why reset the alert. So I suggest to have one more simple option to "Reset this alert when acknowledged" on the list of options for resetting alert.
