I am asked to provide a table report showing configuration changes that happened on a given time/period on Cisco IOS devices.
It should sorted by node, IP, some custom properties, time of config difference, change that was made (line in config), who did the change.
The pre-fetch report provides simple comparison view of change between two configuration.
Looking through the DB in idea to build a custom query I found SolarWindsOrion.dbo.NCM_ConfigArchive contains the whole config lines but there is no way to find track of the changed config lines and change maker (from config header, device console log or syslog/trap) without re-scripting a whole comparison of configs.
This kind of report is more than obvious and should be available by default, as this is typically kind of information management awaits from such products.
