It would be great to have an appinsight for JMX applications
What kind of information would you expect to see from something like an AppInsight for Java Application Servers?
How about collecting metrics out of JMX interface attributes... alerting on thread count violations; load times outside of mean avg; slow calls trending outside of avg; etc.
The JMX/Jboss template looks great but the items I would like to see are the organization, the dashboard layout with the smaller graphs and a lot of data in one place including the history. We may be replacing Riverbed/Opnet AppInternals with this template and the ability to see the data is one concise page is lacking. This is where AppInsight does a tremendous job of providing all that data in one place.
It would even be terrific if you can have an "application' appinsight that would be a dashboard for that system, lets say a system called LabVantage has 7 servers associated with it, app servers, web front ends and a DB or two. I would like an appinsight that is dedicated to all .net related info for that system, not just a single server.
This may be doable today, but the appsight format is terrific and would be very helpful to my many end users.
