Currently the Discovery Central function allows us to search for newly connected interfaces and import them, but it doesn't remove disconnected interfaces. Within our estate we have a large amount of switch ports on server farms and a constantly evolving environment of server installs and decommissions. I would like the Discovery Central function to remove disconnected ports as well and import newly connected ports. At present it is a manually intensive process to add new ports and remove the disconnected so it is a job that gets neglected and results in spurious alerts. With this feature, our server farms wouldn't constantly be displaying as red because ports are disconnected with servers being decommed.
Unfortunately licensing all of the poller's to cover all server farm ports is unrealistic and would make the product financially nonviable.
In addition the ability to automatically import the results would be beneficial as opposed to it being manually being driven.
