I have setup a few clusters and was having issues with the shared resources (drives, services, and other) specifically the shared drive. I was wondering how you would implement it so that if the drive moved over to the passive and vice versa how would you know if the drive was still up (when you move the shared drive, it goes to a 'down' state in the cluster.
I was wondering how I would achieve this (there might be a script to run - possibly. I had a look, but nothing has been that successful) so after contacting Solarwinds for some ideas, I have concluded that they simply do not have this feature.
What about having the drive show up on the cluster, no matter what node the shared drive is on? If not it could come back as a false negative.
Unless someone else has a work around for this, I got nothing else. Though I am painfully bad at solarwinds and am desperate to get my manager to approve some training.
