Improve NPM 12.2 by adding a search function when managing depencies

I love the Parent / Child Group Dependencies feature in NPM. It saves me from getting too many notices, seeing too many devices down.

But when it's time to ignore some auto-dependencies, or edit existing dependencies, I find myself having to scroll through seven windows of dependencies to see the one I want to research/modify.

I'd like to see Solarwinds add a search window box in the Manage Dependencies and Manage Ignored Dependencies areas so I can put in any part of a Dependency Name, or Parent name, or Child name, and filter so only the items I need to see are present.

This will improve my efficiency each time I need to add or modify parents/groups/dependencies--especially when Auto Dependencies are enabled.

I couldn't agree more.. I would also like to see them for Groups as well. We use Groups for various purposes but are a critical part of the Dependency model. I have seen Clients with 100s - maxing out the number of Groups allowed in Orion.

Bump!

I'm in middle of a forklift upgrade of switches, and when a site goes down and I get a bunch of alerts for multiple down nodes, it would sure be helpful if I could enter a node name for parent or child into a search window and see the group and dependencies in which it participates.

Instead I have to scroll through nearly a dozen screens looking for it. And if I look at the Auto Dependency name, I've no clue what nodes are inside it (by auto dependency name).

This is an idea whose time must come soon.

While we're at it, there's room on the screen for Managing Dependencies for another column: Up/Down Status, so I could sort quickly by status and find the down nodes/groups/parents/children, and then edit them quickly.

Yes, there is the "Group By" drop down, which sort of allows a similar functionality, but it's not parallel to the intuitiveness of sorting by column, which is right in front of us:

Better yet: Enable us to edit auto dependencies and add more children.

Or, install a function that allowed the auto dependency to rediscover new children and add them.
