Setting to delayed start tends to help with avoiding noise on reboot. I've been setting that back after patches for years.
I get why you'd want to set everything to automatic during install, so could we please have it as a toggleable option?
I very much would like to see this as well. Any time we install patches, the system believes it has missed quite a few pings on our servers. It takes about 10-15 minutes for the system to collect enough polling information for the Packet Loss average to drop down to a state that doesn't consider the server as "down."
