Better Subnet Importing

As many of us know, SolarWinds is great for importing IP address data because it overwrites any previous address data with the new IP address data in the Excel sheets.

However, dealing with subnets can be a pain. If I have an Excel sheet filled with subnets and I edit their descriptions or VLAN information, I can't import the sheet to update the information like I can with IP addresses.

This is a function I think SolarWinds should implement, so a large volume of subnets can be updated with additional information by simply importing a new sheet. That way no one has to go in and do so by hand.

My company uses Infoblox for DHCP/IPAM, but I also have IPAM as part of Solarwinds NAM. Infoblox exports, and SW IPAM imports, the information I need and expect.

I'd like to think your info on your spreadsheet can be imported if you only had the right format, and could reference the right resources.

I'd suggest opening a Ticket with Solarwinds Technical Support to ask if what you want to do is possible. Maybe the functionality is already there, and you simply haven't found the right instructions to do what you need.
