Ability to report devices being End-of-Life or End-of-Support.
I doubt you will see this as an open tool for Cisco products. You have to have a CCO account have have Cisco Partner access to interface with the API to pull EOL/EOS information. SW has a tool that does this for free, but as stated you have to have a CCO account with special previleged access for the tool to fully connect to the API.
This is stated in the thread you linked towards the bottom.
As for other vendors this would be nice if they allow open interfacing with their API that reports this.
The goal of this feature is to have EOL/EOS info directly in NCM with no need of CCO account.
