Feature Request to the Orion custom property editor prevent a custom property from being saved without a default value of some kind (especially in the case of a property using text-based values).
The user should receive an error if they attempt to save a new or edited custom property without providing a default value.
This would prevent instances where the product behaves in generally unpredictable and disastrous ways when it attempts to interrogate and act upon a custom property with no value (NULL).
Put a suit on that bug and call him a feature!
