Example is when we upgrade a router at a site. When a new device is installed I cannot see the history unless I look at two systems. I would like to see a way to migrate one to the other.
By using a wizard that would say old interface s0/0/0 is now new interface s0/1/1 and the data migrated/copied to those tables. This could be accomplished for routers (VERY IMPORTANT), switches and even servers. Not all data can migrate, but interface traffic, errors, and other items should be fairly easy to move.
If anyone uses Orion for metrics presentations this is a HIGH PRIORITY for us. We give presentations on over 100 items to our CIO and CTO twice a year that goes back at least 1 year. We look like idiots only having data that goes back to the last upgrade or hardware failure. Exporting all this data is extremely time consuming and stupid when all the data is there and we can create a dashboard that displays it all via sub tabs. (now if only the page refresh was customizable: )
