Dashboard resource for team notes

It would be great to have a "notepad" resource right on a dashboard that can be updated and modified by all who view the dashboard.

I would envision a date and time stamped entry along with the account name of the poster. We would put things on it like:

2018/03/08 14:24 username1 - Alert is due to a temporary line outage. ETA for fix is 1 hour.

2018/03/07 04:20 username4 - Emergency maintenance on XYZ component.

2018/03/05 11:46 username2 - I'm working on determining the cause of the ABC outage.

It puts this information right alongside of the alarms in dashboard so our service center can all see if anything is being done regarding the issue.

Perhaps something like this is already out there and I'm missing it.

This is a great idea for the Orion suite, however, imho I believe this is more of a Web Help Desk Dashboard. And if you want to see ticket status via NPM, then some sort of integration would be necessary. For those of us that don't own WHD: (1) shame on us! , (2) maybe we can use the Alert Acknowledgement Comments somehow.

While I agree with its use in something like Web Help Desk Dashboard (which we don't own), I see a benefit to our own team as we communicate and have a history about some of the recent work readily available. If our service center has visibility into our communications then it saves on updates to the service center and allows us to concentrate on fixing the issue. It seems to me that it would be an easy add-on to the product that could be used for many creative purposes I'm sure.

Comments in the Alert Acknowledgement go away as soon as the Alert goes away, but I would see this as sticking around a while. If there was a free text field that was timestamped, you might even be able to enhance it by putting a last N days of notes filter in the config.

Something we've had requested at for our set-up. Obviously don't want to provide global people full access to go messing with CPs so some separate way to implement this without putting control data used elsewhere at risk.

We already use reports to show who muted/unmanaged a device and until when but this would help with general info like, 'this kit overheats occasionally but will be replaced in a month' for instance

...And there is the notes widget that does this, so just needs enabling. now to see these can be summarised in to reports.
