We are running the NEW Kiwi Syslog NG 1.4.1 version (on Windows Server)
We started using this new version of Kiwi Syslog NG when we heard that the old Kiwi Syslog 9.8.3 was soon to be EOL.
On the OLD version of Kiwi Syslog 9.8.3, there is the ability to MOVE files (syslog files) off of the Kiwi Syslog server, to another server via a UNC Share. It accomplished this by running the Windows Service of the Kiwi syslog server as a user that has access to that UNC of the other server so it could authenticate from the Kiwi Syslog server to the other server share.
For some reason, with this NEW version, we LOST FUNCTIONALITY to move those files to another server from the old version. If I make the windows service of the new NG server anything other than "Local System", the service crashes. Support told me that - YES - this is NOT yet supported in the new NG version of Kiwi Syslog.
All we are asking is to NOT lose functionality when we move to the "NEW" version of Kiwi Syslog. Please restore the ability for Kiwi Syslog NG Software to move files (syslog files) to other servers via a UNC path.
