With interfaces I can allow my users to Mute Alerts or Unmanage them similar to Nodes. However with Hardware Health Sensors the only similar option lies with Orion Admin ability to enable or disable the component. Not the same.
In addition, we have some Hardware Sensors that we would like to add Notes to explaining why the sensor's Down state, for example, is expected. However there is not an ability to add Custom Properties that can be used to add a Note field or for other similar reasons to have Custom Properties like we use for Nodes and Interfaces.
Something else missing is the ability to chart stats collected for a Sensor over time. I realize I could add SAM monitors to do these things using WMI or SNMP but it would be nice to have them natively.
What I am proposing here is that Hardware Health Sensors have all of the same features that Interfaces provide today.
