Allow us to specify a default domain for Orion login so AD users only need username and password.
This confuses most casual users.

Would be nice if it would be either Default domain for people that have only one forest, or a drop-down list for multiple forest/domains with trusts
Bump!
Please Solarwinds, implement this feature. Any enterprise sized company use AD to manage users! This should be an easy update
We have over half a million users not [really] managed in active directory -- support for SAML would eliminate this for us, and at the moment this idea simply a nice to have it were there for me. (so I will withhold my vote up or down in preference to a solution that would give me two-factor login)
how would you specify accounts stored locally in the solarwinds DB. I can relate to your FR but I don't see this as an easy implementation, you would need to see if there is a local account to log in, and then go to AD. What happens when you add a local account that is named exactly like an AD account.
would it be local before AD?
HerrDoktor, I would simply like a "If username not defined as local user, send request to Domain Controller"
Another option would be to prefill the username field with the domain name and backslash, so the Domain user would simply fill up the rest...
This is not rocket surgery guys, every other application on the face of the planet has this. It usually has a drop down of some sort to choose what authenticators to use in which order, and if it should fall through to local at the end on authentication failure or only if other authenticators are not available.
