The Node Group box in the NCM node edit interface should be a drop down to select already created node groups. Since the user has to type in the node group it either doesn't get entered, or it may get typed wrong and then creates a new node group with a slightly different spelling. If it was a drop down showing the exiting node groups with an option to create a new one it would keep things organized much better.
