I am reaching out to request an enhancement for AppInsight for Exchange that would significantly improve the monitoring efficiency for environments like ours. We are looking to have the capability to selectively disable specific health checks within the "Replication Status" component.
Feature Description:
Currently, AppInsight for Exchange provides comprehensive monitoring, including checks like 'Database Availability' and 'Database Redundancy'. While these checks are useful, in certain scenarios, they may not be relevant and could lead to unnecessary alerts and noise. This is evident from the included screenshots where these checks are marked as 'Failed'. These failures can sometimes be misleading due to the specific configurations or operational practices that do not affect our system's overall health but still trigger alerts.
Requested Feature:
We propose the addition of functionality to selectively enable or disable specific health checks within the AppInsight template. This could be implemented via toggle switches or checkboxes in the template settings, allowing administrators to tailor the monitoring to suit their specific needs more closely.
Benefits:
Reduced clutter and noise in monitoring dashboards.
More targeted and relevant alerts.
Better resource allocation on monitoring tools.
Increased clarity in operational status reporting.
Case Number: #01615096
Your support in enhancing the flexibility of AppInsight for Exchange would be invaluable to many users who seek more control over their monitoring environment. Please consider this feature for upcoming updates.
