FR - Where's the Volume love - Discovery Ignore and Manage Nodes page

When trying to manage volumes, I find a sizable gap in ease of use.

Decision to remove /home... for example or clean up all A: or CD

Manage Nodes -> Nodes, Interfaces exist - add volumes (new and old views)

Discovery Ignore - volumes - let us auto ignore and auto monitor (like interfaces)

as a matter of fact, it would be most excellent if you could set up object ignores by wildcard/regex or logic of some fashion.

i.e. Volumes - ignore - caption like '%Label:page%'

and Volumes - ignore - caption = 'A:\'

and Volumes - ignore - caption like '/home%'

It would be nice if at the end of a discovery import, you could move everything not imported to the ignore list. Would be nice for interfaces like VoipEncapsulation, PRI B channels, FXO, Null0, Windows Scheduled task, etc.

Good idea! Whilst the Discovery profiles can filter out volumes based on their type, I too would value having identical functionality to how interfaces are included/excluded from a given discovery.

I would have loved that feature! in the meantime, i used the following workaround: thwack.solarwinds.com/.../powershell-script-to-cleanup-volumes-inventory

I'm looking for this, I have on my company a lot of Juniper switches. This switches have many volumes that when imported generates a lot of full volumes alert.
If on the import volumes we had the same option for interface, where we can filter the volumes by tags or regex it will be helpful.

I hear ya! That's because of our Juniper inventory that I had to build a script to cleanup inventory (see above). I wish this would be embedded!

Bump...still need to use third-party automation tools to clean-up all the mess from the customizable discovery.
