In the Windows application SolarWinds Log & Event Manager Reports -
Go to CONFIGURE and then Manager Configuration.
In the space where you put in the "manager name", "username" and "password" it would be very useful to have a button to test the authentication with the supplied username and password against the LEM manager. Since you can't see the password entry it is very possible to have a bad password (or mis-typed username) that prevents access to the manager. The "Login failed" error doesn't really give enough information to help you identify where the error is.
There is already a button to test the connection (ping test), adding a button to test the authentication would be really useful. This way you can catch the bad password before you spend time trying to figure out what else is wrong. 
Alternatively, you can have an option to "display password" so you get a visual confirmation of the password.
