On the heels of the Great MapQuest Snafu of 2016 perhaps it would be in everyones interest if the Worldwide Map resource is reconfigured/rebuilt to allow for alternate/multiple geodata vendors' APIs to supply map & tile data.
As specific GIS/Maps/Geodata access moves steadily towards paid access models, the ability to choose your preferred vendor based on the number of API calls your installation needs/uses would be very attractive for those who heavily rely or highly customize maps.
Coupled with the automatic node placement features, I would also forsee Latitude & Longitude become default available Custom Properties for nodes.
