I have been asked to document an organizations Serv U sFTP host system. Is there a tool that will do this.
I want to detail all domain accounts groups, file structures permission etc. into a single word doc.
Please help.
Did I mention that this is easier with users in a DB?
Let me copy/paste a couple of entries from my export to show you the leading pattern.
The leading number (1 or 2 in the examples above) tells Serv-U how many segments are in each entry. The leading number within each segment (2 or 4 in the examples above - see it?) tells Serv-U how many elements are within each segment.
Within each segment:
This will be much easier if you are using DB users. If you are, you can use the Serv-U DB Integration Guide to develop the queries that will dump this information. Else, work with Serv-U's user export function and see if you can get what you need out of that CSV.
How do i use that function?

How do you use Serv-U's user export function?
It's on the "Domain Users" tab.
You click the "Export" button, select an export path, type an export filename (e.g., userdump.csv), and end up with a CSV with all your users and many, many columns of interesting data.
I have exported the file and the diraccess column has the following data
1,4,Dir,D:XXXXXXXXXXFTPXXXXXXX,Access,7967
The xxxx are what I have added to remove company specific data
What do the 1,4, Access and 7967 correspond to?
