Logging calls by reacting to alerts

Hey,

I would like to automate our call logging process to ISP's by reacting to alerts created by Solarwinds. Is it possible to react to a Solarwinds alert by sending an email as soon as a x§certain alert is created (for example a link going down).

Hi stantong. You probably want to ask the question here Network Performance Monitor by selecting "Start a Discussion" on the left hand menu. When you do you might want to rephrase the question a bit.

If your question is "Is it possible to send an email from a SolarWinds alert?" The answer is, yes. If your question is can you alert on when a link (web page) goes down, the answer is also yes. But you will need something like WPM or SAM to do it.

If you want one SolarWinds alert to kick of another SolarWinds alert, there is a way to do that that, probably though custom properties. Again the Network Performance Monitor area of Thwack is probably the best place to post those question, or look up how do do what you need.
