PERFSTACK : Include SQL AG Latency Metrics

Please add SQL Availability Group status metrics to the PERFSTACK entities list. Allow us to chart Estimated Recovery Time (Min, Avg, Max, Peak), Estimated Data Loss, block hardening time, etc for Synch and Async replicas. We need a way to correlate AG synchronization lag with other database or application server metrics.

If you happen to own Database Performance Analyzer and have it integrated with Orion you can see AG stats in PerfStack by creating custom metrics in DPA

It looks like the recent migration of THWACK to a new platform may have broken the link I posted a couple years ago. I am checking with the team to see if that can be fixed but in the meantime here are a couple other articles related to creating custom metrics in DPA and then seeing DPA metrics in PerfStack on the Orion side once you have the two integrated:
