Add the ability to monitor Aruba Instant AP's Virtual Controllers and the connected AP's. Currently it is only possible to monitor a virtual controller as if it is a physical node and NPM does not recognize it as a Wireless controller.nt
Has this made it into consideration yet? We're looking at ripping out 4 sites with Cisco controllers and putting in Aruba Instant. Without being able to see the Virtual Controller in Orion it's going to make a just a wee bit inconvenient.
Same here. We've had Aruba Instant for close to two years now and would very much like this to be supported.
I have had to purchase the Aruba Airwave solution for monitoring the wireless network. It would have been nice to use the Orion solution since I made the investment in that. Now I may not renew Orion and just use Airwave for all of my network monitoring.
Ditto. We're on a 90 day trial and I'm really digging Airwave for more than just wireless monitoring.

I've just started using Aruba 105's and these are far better than the Cisco APs I've used in the past. SW product team should kick this into high gear. These APs are going to be gaining market share like wildfire, provided Cisco fanbois can think objectively...
Would anyone perhaps be able to send an SNMPWalk from our SNMPWalk tool over? rob.hock{at}solarwinds.com

We are also looking at moving to Aruba from Cisco. The ability to monitor is a huge selling point. Thanks!
Did you notice Aruba Instant APs are supported in NPM v12 Beta2?: NPM v12 Beta2 Now Available
I have recently expressed the same concerns to TAC after running into problems with NPM and the Network Atlas Utility regarding heatmaps and signal sampling, there is a definite need for Aruba IAP support. If Solarwinds wants to remain the flagship monitoring application this has to make its way into the platform.
This was delivered in NPM v12. Marking as implemented.
