Node Search Results - Search Again

I use the Node Search to find nodes. Occasionally I mistype a node name and I am greeted with this screen

It would be nice if the "No Nodes found" screen or even the successfully results screen had a search box so I could search again without having to click back to the home screen. I saw another feature request to add a search button in the title bar but this would be quick and convenient.

That a great idea! What about opening the node page automatically when it found only one result? I use the search field a lot to not browse through trees and/or lists.

I would think yes, but only if it was an exact match. If I typed in "CA01A282" hoping to match on "CA01A2820" I would want it to show that only CA01A2820 was available. If it when right to the nodes page on a partial match I might think that something was wrong with the search and keep trying to search.
