Mobile SIM card auto geocoding in worldmaps

hi guys

if it is possible could we be able to auto plot equipment using mobile SIM card Internet connections in worldmaps. I don't know if this is possible but it would be great if when we deploy our gear in the field we could automatically track where it is when we turn it on.

‌I've done some reading and found the new generation cisco next g cards are coming with gps support. Could this be something that could be polled and the co-ordinates stored somewhere in the npm database and fed into worldmaps? that could enhance your geocoding ability for field equipment

Yeah you just need custom pollers to pull that data, then you can create queries to update your worldmap lat/long with those values.
