NCM requires static or individually scoped credentials for file share access. In our environment, service account passwords must be rotated every 90 days, which makes maintaining these credentials difficult and error-prone.
Proposed Enhancement:
Allow NCM to authenticate to file shares using a GSMA. This would enable secure, group-based access managed through Active Directory, with automatic key rotation and centralized control.
