Case 398357 - Question
We manage Solarwinds with a team system administrators.
We use the Unmanage Scheduling Utility to unmanage our servers during a scheduled reboot.
After a few months the task stopped working.
Than we found that username and password was saved in the xml-file. When the password was changed the task stopped running.
Also it's easy that only the owner of the task can change it.
The scheduled task in Windows task scheduler runs with a domain admin account.
We don't want to use this account (with a very strong password) for changing tasks.
- no username and password will be saved in the xml-file
- each admin in Solarwind can change unmanage task
For now we solved the problem with a new useraccount with a password that never expires, although we think we don't need this account if we can use our own admin-accounts to change tasks.
