A world map zoom lock

Firstly, the world map module is fantastic. But I've had feed back from users saying when they scroll down the page they are sometimes trapped by the mouse pointer on a map and instead of scrolling down the screen they end up zooming on a map. Is there a way we could have like a zoom lock button on the map box so we can lock or unlock the map when needed?
