This is more of an additional set options, than a formal feature request. After adding new nodes, I often find myself having to make amendments to the name discovered for the new devices. The common ones are:
- Discovered name is always left in lowercase.
- Discovered name has the system domain appended to the end of it.
If possible, I'd like to see a couple of new check boxes added to the 'Web Console Settings' under the 'Discovery Settings' section for the following:
- Auto-capitalise Discovered Node Names
- Remove '.customerdomain.com' From Discovered Node Names
It's only a quality of life request, but it would make many customer environments look neater, and safe every Orion admin time.
