My #1 request for the map view would be to allow the object types to be sorted by name. When I'm looking for a single object in any of the Map View sections, it can be very difficult to find since the sections are unsorted.
If you look at the nice improvements to maps listed in this Orion Platform Improvements - Intelligent Mapping Enhancements you can see that we've added advanced filtering to help for this problem.
