During a support call I was told by the knowledgeable support technician that I should be able to specify a subfolder within a UNC path, but I retested, then had to build an entire new LEM due to failed restore (multiple corrupt hierarchyTree.xml files in almost all backups for past 3 weeks), and even on the brand new LEM with 6.2.1 hotfix 2 I am unable to specify a backup patch deeper than a root path when running the backupconfig utility. I can backup to \\servername\share, but not \\servername\share\Lem or \\servername\c$\test or any deeper path. The error is:
An error occurred attempting to copy a file to //servername/clients/ltc/lem. Please reenter the network share credentials.
Invalid share credentials - unable to connect.
