We like to request the ability to generate an entry in the "Active Alert" resource based on content received from SNMP Traps. Here is a scenario:
We have several server rack door sensors that are forwarding traps to SolarWinds every time the doors are opened/closed. In the received traps there is a "Trap Description" field that states "Door Opened" "Door Closed" etc..
We like the ability to capture the content of those traps and generate critical alerts on the "Active Alert" resource.
We realize that we can generate actions (emails, syslog, color the traps etc..) based on traps but that is NOT feasible for us. We need the ability to populate the "Active Alert" resource.
