Allow permanent, historical notes for IP addresses

It'd be nice to mark a custom field as permanent so that you can keep a comment about what an IP address used to be for historical purposes. This would not get overwritten unless you want it to even if an IP is marked as available. Everyone has some devices that are pointed to old IP addresses that have been re-provisioned. Knowing what used to be on there is one of the things that I used a lot in the IP spreadsheet days that would be nice to carry over.

I would very much like to see a permanent comment or notes field for an IP address so that I can use IPAM as a database of static allocations even if an assignment is used from time to time. I currently cannot use IPAM in this way without placing the IP in a permanent "Transient" status which means it will no longer be polled. If I type comments, then a device is offline for a period of time, then it reappears, the comments are deleted. I would like an address to be polled AND have a place to enter permanent notes.
