Disable 'allow system info to be overwritten'

I opened case number 496170 for this problem:

How can I set the scanning to enable, but not to overwrite the hostname?
The problem occurs when the IP address is not configured in DNS (Reverse lookup - PTR).
We do not have DHCP or DNS integrated into IPAM, so when the scanner can't find the reverse DNS for the IP, it overwrites the hostname that was manually entered with a blank description.

We need scanning enabled, but do not want the hostname overwritten.

This is being submitted as a feature request.

Please upvote if you would like to see this this feature in the next IPAM release.

Are you still having this problem? If so this may fix it

Try this - edit subnet properties and check tis box
