NTM Scan Time Estimate?

I'm running the latest NTM Trial on 10.0.0.0/8 trying to map an entire network. From the guide it looks to be estimated at 1000 nodes per hour for scan time so that comes out to like 2years to map 16mil address. Is that right? Just running ICMP/SNMP. The guide does say to try not to use large subnets of course, I'm was just testing it out.

Large Subnets and Discovery An address range that include more than 2000 nodes takes much longer (one to two hours, for example) to discover than the same number of nodes split up into multiple smaller ranges. A

     Yes, because with a subnet broken into /8, the scan is assuming that you want to scan every ip in the /8 subnet, all 16,777,214 individual IP addresses.

Unless your network is already utilizing 16 million addresses, the subnet should be changed to a /24 or a /21 network reducing the scan to 255 or 2046 addresses respectively; or to another subnet size that incorporates the IP range that is in use on your network.
