Hi,
it came up here, that some developers want to have a "stress test" for websites. Maybe that would be a nice feature in SEUM to see a result of how stress influence a login process in a transaction.
Just an idea

Hello Eike, can you provide more details for your use case? Do you expect SEUM to do multiple parallel transactions on target website to make a heavy load on it? Or do you have some other tool to make stress test and you want SEUM just to simulate standard user and provide results for it?
Hi Jiri,
the first option is what we would like to have. So SEUM clients create multiple parallel transaction at the same time to generate heavy load. I know that this can be or is a big risk, since it could also be used to create a DoS attack (what we don't want to do!)
We have a tool tool called "Compuware Gomez" which has that option. But there is a huuuuge price difference between SEUM and the other tool
Thank you for explanation.
That makes sense and it is a valid feature request. However not allowing DoS attacks but still allowing stress tests may be a difficult task as there is quite small difference.
I second the request to add stress test features to SEUM. By the way, all of the stress test tools I've tried in the past required the user to verify that they own the site being targeted, by adding some specific tag on the website. I guess it's still possible to inadvertently DDOS your own site...
