I know this maybe something that someone has suggested or maybe not but I wanted to see if maybe others felt it would be an asset to add a customizable news ticker.
This would be helpful for the EOC as it could be shown just below the menu bar and have variables based on access. This ticker could allow to show a top 5 and / or custom messages, features that are both in EOC. The key here would be that if a system did go down we could have a filter based on supported monitoring 24/7 or 8/5 and "blink" a spacific color for that filter. I know I can do this all with optional elements but sometimes I would like to create a view that doesn't have to include every element that I just listed, a news ticker takes up less space and can offer the same features.
Standard on most news tickers are left to right and right to left as well as static, nothing new in that statement. Hot links and custom links should also apply.
Anyway, thats my suggestion, anyone care to comment?
