I know, it must be EOC day!!!!
Can someone explain how the accounts work in EOC?
My EOC server is configured in Windows Pass Through authentication and is working.
I added some Orion servers to EOC, some using my AD account (same as what I log into EOC) and another as a local Orion account and another as Directlink. I noticed today that on one of the servers I am restricted to seeing nly 4 nodes. I looked everywhere as to why and stumbled across 'View Account Limitations' and see that my AD account on the server in question is showing me restricted to 4 nodes but I configured EOC Orion Server Credentials for the server as the other account.
If I log into the Orion server in question using the account I used in Orion Server Credentials I see more than 4 nodes.
I can't log into the Orion in question using my AD account as they are not using Windows PassThrough. I spoke to the administrator and he said that it 'might', as a test, be that he configured an account with my username and restricted that account - he thinks (wasn't at the office).
So where does the Orion Server Credentials come into play and the account you use to log into the EOC?
I would think that the Orion Server Credentials would take precedence over the user login. The thought being that a user could log into EOC and not have to have an account on the remote Orion server and you could restrict what they see in EOC.
Am I missing something?
