Query event logs via RPC

I upgraded to APM 4.01 and it's great. It can see stuff now via RPC it couldn't before because WMI was not available on those systems. However Event log monitors appear to still be via WMI as well. Just listing this here so RPC event log lookups can be added.

I'm currently trying to get this working via a Powershell script as an alternative, but no luck yet.

Great suggestion. We've actually looked at this, and RPC provides some advantages over WMI (the main being speed). I've logged this as a feature request and we'll consider it for a future release.

Thanks. Just 10 minutes ago I had to log into servers unavailable via WMI and had to count each instance of the event log errors. This would save us a ton of time as we use the presence of the alerts in daily reports and alert messages.
