Availability question.

Hello to all.

I want to know if its possible to "tag" some undesired events.

For example:

I have a node on a site where blackouts are frequent and i would like to tag them so when i run the availability report that event doesnt count.

Is this possible?

I would create a node custom property called ExcludeFromReport of type Yes/No and set only the trouble systems to Yes leaving the others either blank or No. Then when the report's being created, exclude those nodes using the custom property value.

Sadly thats not a solution since i still want to know the node availability but without the event when the blackout occurred.

is this possible?

If the blackout windows are known ahead of time maybe it would make more sense to create a pair of integer custom properties called BlackoutStartHour and BlackoutEndHour. Then when you're calculating your availability you can exclude any hours inside that range. The caveat being that you would have to increase your hourly roll-up retention to the maximum duration of your availability reporting. By default that's set to 30 days. Beyond that you'll lose hourly information (because it's rolled up to daily averages) and the hourly limitation wouldn't work any longer.
