Cannot add SNMP node

I am not able to add Airaya Wireless antenna as a snmp node. the product is snmp enabled but when i try to add as a SNMP node, orion says "The node does not respond with the community string public". I added the antenna as ICMP node and tried to associate custom pollers. I could add, test and assign custom pollers sucessfully to the antenna but since the antenna is added as SNMP node, orion is not snmp polling and i am not getting any data in the charts. Please advice how to activate custom snmp mib pollers for ICMP node OR how to add airaya into Orion.

Which version of Orion are you using?

Have you checked all the obvious - is the community string set to public, are there any acls or trusted hosts set, anything like a firewall between orion and the target? Are you using the correct version of SNMP?

yes i have checked and rechecked all settings, community is set to public, no acls and no firewalls. it is in the same subnet LAN. I also tried using all versions of SNMP thought it is Ver1. strange thing is Orion recognize the device when i add custom mib poller but not adding it as snmp device.
