Not able to get data from SWIS API

Hi All, There is requirement to integrate Boomi and SolarWinds via API. I have shared the SWIS API endpoint to the Boomi team but they are doing some POST operation it's not working. Basically they are trying to pudh some messege to solarwinds as a event. Any idea how to get that. Or if someone shares the SWIS API endpoint for events then it will be very helpful.

You can do many things with the API, get data, add some data, adjust settings. But pushing event is not among the features available.

They can send traps or syslogs to SolarWinds and that can be handled.

Hi Lofstrand, how to send traps or syslogs via API? Can u help with the API endpoint please. Let me clear the requirement: there are some real time alerts in BOOMI. Now whenever Boomi will receive those alerts then it will call the solarwinds API and send those data to solarwinds. And we have to alerts based on those. Either it can be form of logs/traps anything just it should come to solarwinds.

Then I suggest that the Boomi team send the "alert" to SolarWinds via a normal trap or syslog. Via the standard ports for traps and syslog. No SolarWinds specific API for this, just normal trap or syslog (I would go for syslog). You can then set up an alert in SolarWinds that triggers right away when the syslog reaches solarwinds.

Note, the node (IP) that sends the traps/syslog has to be monitored in SolarWinds. If it's not in the list of monitored devices the log message will be discarded.

Hi Lofstrand, those things can't be sent via traps and syslogs. That has been confirmed already that's why we are going with API. Basically my utility errors has to route in solarwinds from Boomi that can be done via API only
