Planning to Upgrade from Solarwinds 2025.2 to SOSH (Observability)

Hello Everyone. I am starting the planning phase, and would appreciate all the advice I can get. Currently on Solarwinds 2025.2, and planning to upgrade to Solarwinds Observability Self Hosted.

Any advice or things to look out for, specifically from those thwackers that have already gone through it.

Am I understanding correctly that you have a few modules and are about to change to SWOSH, SolarWinds Observability Self Hosted? And your installation is currently at 2025.2?

Then it's just a matter of changing the license key in License Manager. Thats everything! 5 min job.

@Lofstrand yes, that is correct. installation is 2025.2 currently have NPM and NTA only and planning to upgrade to SWOSH. pls advise on the below:

1. Will I need to upgrade hardware, like MEM CPU etc.

2. any advice on HA, as I am currently not using the HA

1. Maybe, my recommendation is to stay with what you have and if you feel you need more hardware, add it then. Depends on how much of the new features you now have available that you utilize.

2. If you have the "Enterprise Scale" edition, you will also have HA in your license. If so, you can add an additional server as a stand-by server. Make sure to secure your SQL server also when doing so.

@Lofstrand thank you, I will double check the SWOSH hardware requirements, and will request a new server for HA. appreciate your advice
