Hi All, I’m facing an issue where the NetFlow service in SolarWinds keeps stopping on its own. When I restart it manually, everything starts working fine again, but after some time it stops once more....
Check the Application logs after attempting to start the service. It will have the error details.
Do you have additional polling engines? Is the NetFlow service running on those? It was my experience if I did not have it licensed it would show up briefly in the SolarWinds Service Manager then would disappear and that was normal behavior for an unlicensed one. If you have HCO and yours is not working, then possibly check other engines to verify the license is active/working on them, if not it could also be the license didn't get read correctly? That did happen once to me and a reboot fixed it, but that was right after we applied our HCO license. You need to have HCO Advanced Tier to include Netflow
Thank you, but I have a valid license for NTA
I am using an HCO license, it’s not a trial version.
I agree with the NTA license. If you don't have an NTA license the service will stop automatically.
Same thought as @Deltona if you do not have a SWO-SH or NTA License, it will stop because you are not licensed. Same thing with WPM services
If you don't have an active NetFlow (NTA) license then the service will stop. This is normal and should therefore be ignored.
Are any of the other modules having problems? Check your 'My Deployment' for any other problems (Settings>My Deployment) which could explain the issue. Also, have a look at the logs in %programdata% (C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion by default) for any errors, specifically the business layer logs, as these may give you some insight as to what is causing the problem.
if you have SAM, then use SAM to monitor the service and bring it UP once SAM detect it is down. But suggest you also open a case with SolarWinds support to check why the NTA service is down at random.

Alert Cleared.htmlHello, I would like to share the HTML template details we have prepared so that Solarwinds alarms can become more meaningful. It can list alarm object details and connected device details separately in HTML template. Except for object and device details, you can easily add custom property information…

SWQL is built on the framework of SQL and as such supports most of the standard clauses as part of a query. A very simple example query is: SELECT Caption, IPAddress, Vendor, ResponseTime FROM Orion.Nodes Dissecting this query is relatively straightforward: show some fields (Caption, IP address, Vendor, and Response Time)…
