We started having some odd issues with some of our AWS nodes when trying to manage them in Orion. The nodes are showing up in Orion but are not fully communicating back to our polling engines.
We had our AWS team adjust the rights for our service account in AWS to match these settings - https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-cloud-configure-aws.htm which allowed us to see and do more with the nodes in AWS. We are still running into issues managing the nodes. The nodes will show as up but and most of the widgets are populating but some of the widgets are not populating.
Next up I want to work with the AWS team to validate the proper ports are open so the nodes in AWS can report back to the Orion polling engines. Are there any special ports that need to be opened or just the standard Orion Ports?
So SNMP UPD 161 and 162, WMI TCP 135 + dynamic range of TCP 1024-65535, Agent TCP 17778, Syslog UDP 514, HTTPS TCP 443.
