Setting FQDN alert URL for HA environment

We are having a HA environment without using VIP/V-Hostname, and we are currently receiving email alerts URL containing the hostname of the Polling Engine.

However, some of our PCs are operating under a different domain and are unable to resolve this hostname. Instead, we are required to set the alert URL using FQDN of the Polling Engine.

What have we done?

Edit the SolarWinds Platform Web Server Address in Web Console Settings.
It still holds the primary server FQDN after failover.
Edit ServerName of the Websites DB table.
Same as above.

What we could do in this situation without modifying the DNS server?

We have tried second method. Some URLs work and some doesn't.

Also, when failover occurs, it kind of reset the FQDN field to the hostname.

What you can try is a bit like the third option there. But, you ADD your own record there and put it as primary.

So, add one extra line with your HA details and set that as primary.

I have done that a couple of times for other reasons.

Apologies if this is a silly question, so basically I just hold two records in the Website table, one for active server and one for standby server?

And both of them as primary.
