Enabling the Hardware Health Sensors option in bulk via the database

Hello,

I have approximately 300 Cisco devices that don't have the hardware health sensor option enabled.

Since creating a resource list for all of these devices would take hours, I want to enable the hardware health sensor option in bulk from the database. How can I do this?

Settings - All Settings - Manage Pollers - Search for hardware Health Sensor and click assign, sort by vendor, and apply to the Cisco Devices.

When I tried this method, I got a mismatch error. However, after I made the list resources, I was able to enable the hardware health sensor option.

Try running all 300 through the network discover wizard, then try the method outlined again.

You can speed this up by running a bulk update directly in the database—just identify the relevant table/field for the hardware health sensor flag, then run an UPDATE query targeting all affected devices. Just be sure to back up first.
