Node Shows Down in Node Details but Up in Group Members List

Hi Thwack Community,

I'm facing a strange issue in our SolarWinds platform and wanted to check if anyone else has encountered this or if there's a known fix.

We have a node that's showing as Down in the Node Details page, and it correctly reflects as Down in the main summary views. However, when we go to the Group Summary Page and view the list of group members, this same node is showing Status: Up.

This is not about the group rollup status (e.g., "Show Worst Status") — the issue is specifically with the individual node status shown in the group member list.

I don't know if this is the same issue you are having, but sometimes we will see a node state it is down, but it isn't actually down. When this happens from the node details page we click on List Resources and after it loads we click submit. This usually fixes the issue. You may need to refresh the page. Sometimes when we click on List Resources it will say something near the top about Force Refresh. If it does we click that and then submit after it finishes the refresh. Otherwise the other option is to delete the node and readd it.

Strange, sounds like it doesn't update the group members status. I think you should be able to see this from this SWQL table:

FROM Orion.ContainerMemberSnapshots

Each groupmembers status should be stored there also.

Do you have an Additional Web Server? if so, do you see that same thing when you go directly to the main server? I have had issues before with groups not updating on the AWS.
