Is there a way to create an alert on Soalrwinds when MIBs are out of date?
Custom SWQL or SQL Query?
You cannot create a classic alert for outdated MIBs (Management Information Bases) directly in SolarWinds using the standard alerting engine. However, SolarWinds platforms starting with the Orion 2020.2 release provide a built-in notification feature in the web console
Thanks @naveensingh43 .Yes I can view this in the WebUi but as a very busy IT admin I don't have time to be looking into web consoles for such things If something is out-of-date and requires attention within the platform itself I feel it would be standard to be able to create an e-mail notification for this. I'm trying to figure out if I can even check the current version installed then check whats available fomr the web using an external script.I've created a feature requests here.
Note what the MIB database is used for in this link: https://customerportal.solarwinds.com/info/mib-database
I might not be necessary to update the mib database all the time.
If you absolutely want the latest version, you can update it on a scheduled basis as a new file is complied once a week.
